Premium Point Investments, LLC is an alternative investment firm specializing in the residential mortgage debt markets. Our strategy focuses on capital growth by investing primarily in high-yielding senior non-agency residential mortgage-backed securities.
Our highly experienced team at Premium Point boasts deep expertise in fundamental research and unique industry relationships, enabling us to generate targeted, uncorrelated returns.
Founded in June 2008 by Neil Ahuja, Patrick Downes, and Hyung Peak, Premium Point’s leadership has over a decade of collaborative experience. Neil, with over 19 years in mortgage-backed securities (MBS) origination and trading, led Deutsche Bank AG’s RMBS business from 2004 to 2008, propelling it to the #4 rank in mortgage trading by volume. Hyung, with 16 years in trading collateralized mortgage obligations (CMO) and loan products, previously headed private CMO trading at Deutsche Bank. Patrick, with over 21 years in the MBS market and structured products, served as a director at Deutsche Bank and founded Vertical Crossing, later sold to Société Générale.
Neil holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business, Hyung holds a BS in electrical engineering from Cooper Union School of Engineering, and Patrick holds a BS from Cornell University. They are supported by a team of nine investment professionals, all with a decade of collaborative experience.
